I love my
I used coffee makers for years but several years ago I purchased an expensive Krups machine. Well, it finally quit and I decided to go back to and Im so glad I did I like the color coded system because I dont use too much coffee. From the first sip of coffee this morning I knew that going back to was the right decision.

Extremely easy to use and clean. Basically only two part to clean, the ground basket and carafe with removable lid. Also, very quiet when peeking too.
Not the most beautiful, but the best Ive owned
Ive gone through a number of high/tech coffee pots over the years, with lots of switches and push buttons and stainless steel. There isnt a single one I would recommend. I wound up not using most of the settings, but I still had to restore them after an unplugging or a power outage. And the procedure for changing the settings was totally counter/intuitive. Worse, some of the things that I *couldnt* set were just weird. Like turning off the warmer after a fixed period of time and then not allowing me to press the brew button to extend the timing. If I tried, it just shut off the pot and required me to start all over again. What?? And they failed on me, some of them much too soon. When the last one stopped working, I decided to spend less than half as much and get the simplest pot I could find. I cringed a little at getting a because its not a high/end brand, and when it arrived I instantly disliked the way it looked. Its two or more shades of grey plastic, and doesnt quite cut it with the rest of my kitchen. But I decided to give it a try, and I fell in love with how it works. This pot gets the interface just right. Two main buttons: Brew Now and Brew Later. When you press Brew Later, it flashes the start time for a few seconds and allows you to change it if you want to. Simple, obvious and easy. Oh, and it makes good coffee. I like my coffee light, so any alteration of the flavor is quite noticeable. This one just brews it straight. I still dont like the cheap plastic look, and if they made an upscale version Id buy it. But not loving the looks is a small price to pay for getting a coffee pot that, finally, gets everything just right.

Easy to use 12 cup coffee maker. Brews quickly and flavor is good. Has a clean setting which comes in handy to keep unit working correctly.
Durable
I bought this, then found the same model in the trash near a hospital so I returned this one. Cleaned it up, works great. Before you throw it away, just run some vinegar through a few cycles. Rinse. Et voiala
Ease of use and of course flavor of the coffee.
I like the appearance and it makes great coffee without all the bells and whistles. It does have auto timer and an extra filter inside for better flavor.

Im from Seattle, and have been drinking coffee all my life, but needed to do some research on the best coffee maker after my husband gifted me a hideous Calaphon coffee maker to replace my trusty Cuisinart. That machine was boxed up and put into the Goodwill pile and then hours of research on coffee blogs and review sites began. I narrowed it down to the top two coffee makers that could work for me: a 350 Breville and this 70 . I usually make espresso or use an Aeropress for rich, non/bitter coffee on a daily basis, and I swear this little machine makes coffee that is just as good. It even passes the how does it taste cold after it has been sitting in my cup a bit too long test. As some of the coffee blogs mentioned, sometimes we make this way too complicated than it needs to be. This is a decent, fun little machine and I havent used my fancy coffee makers since it graced my counter. Thanks, whoever you are!
Discontinued carafe means one pots all youve got. Drop it and youre sunk.
Coffee discontinued the glass carafe which you must use. NOTHING else fits made by or any other maker. wont tell you its discontinued. They refer you to ereplacementparts.com, etc. who tell you the truth: discontinued. So sorry. Newell in Atlanta owns the brand. Write and tell them what you think of paying up to 90 for a coffeemaker that has NO replacement parts, whether or not you bought a warrantee. (By the way, its worthless because it doesnt cover the carafe).
