This is the first large rifle safe that Ive ever bought, so maybe my expectations were too high. I was disappointed in the thinness of the side and back panels. Yes, the door seems nice and thick, but the sides and back seem like a thick locker material. However, the more I thought about it, I realized that this safe really isnt meant to stop thieves, its meant to stop curious (and unwelcome) hands. A thief with a simple angle grinder will cut through the side in absolutely no time at all. So, for its intended purpose its fine. I like that it has 3 ways of opening, combination/finger print/key. Initially I had issues setting the fingerprint reader, but I emailed customer care (the email is on the card that comes with the safe, I couldnt find it on , which was annoying) and they responded quickly with a link to a video which walked me through it. I took away a star for the thin metal, but I added a star for the excellent customer service.
One more note. I have a tikka long rifle with a scope that BARELY fits in this safe. I had to buy an extra foam insert to prop the gun up nearly vertically or the door wont shut. I also had to buy another , smaller , gun holding insert to hold my AR, because its barrel was much lower down than the long rifle. So dont expect a nice, roomy safe, if you have long guns with big scopes. I have 2 lung guns with scopes and an AR and its getting tight in there. Worked for my use.
Decent safe, just set your expectations right.
