This is not the best quality bunk bed out there. I would definitely not recommend using it up to the weight limit that it suggests. As a 130lb adult, climbing into the top bunk, it felt unsturdy and kind of shaky. I triple tightened all of the bolts while constructing so that definitely wasnt the issue. We like the color and it does well enough for kids, but would not recommend for adult use. The ladder is also difficult to climb as an adult. Easy to assemble just takes a while
