This is so much nicer than I expected for the price. Really solid and beautiful. Sturdy enough for person over 200 lbs. Hooks are strong too. The bottom of the bench is not solid wood but still I have it full of shoes and it seems plenty strong. If you needed it to store something heavier you could always just slide a piece of wood in there. The shelf is perfect for a couple picture frames. This is the perfect piece of furniture for my entry way. I love it!
