Our paramedic quarters needed a strong bed where the slats wouldnt keep slipping out sending us crashing to the floor. We pooled our money together and bought this bed. Everything is great EXCEPT is wouldnt fit the box spring (it says you dont need one but we already had it) and our foam mattress barely fits. It hangs over the foot board instead of sitting in the frame a bit. We have a standard twin so Im not sure what that is all about. As long as it doesnt send me into cardiac arrest from constantly being startled when the bed falls I will endure the hangover
