Whoever designed the way the pieces fit together, and whoever wrote the instructions/made the pictures really had the customer in mind. I consider myself fairly handy, but even still, the picture instructions were incredibly easy to follow, the packaging was genius (all the screws, etc. on a cardboard packet, clearly labeled, and out of order so you don't accidentally open the wrong screw set), and the wasted seems minimual (just enough styrofoam and plastic to prevent movement/scratches). While it did take me over an hour to put it together, and I did need a 2nd set of hands to hold the last two slats when i screwed them into the center rail as it was slightly bowed, the process made sense. I also liked that there was a 2nd allen key for the 4 post screws that screwed into other screws or for a 2nd person to help put the frame together. The design is beautiful and I could see it working in different aesthetics (mine happens to be cottagecore, but definitely would translate to other styles). I am not a small person, so I like that the weight maximum is much more than is needed (2 people and an 80-lb dog). No squeaks or shakes. **a few issues: (1) the headboard has a small bit of a scratch, but that is easily hidden by the mattress and pillows. (2) Strong hands or 2 people are needed to put it together. I can't imagine my mother or even my sister being able to put this together on their own. (3) would be better to have the head of the allen key a little longer. When screwing in the D screws into the sides of the slats, I had to keep taking it out to reinsert and then make half a turn before repeating the process, whereas, all the other screws I could just spin until tightened. Being that there was 16 of these going in, it got exhausting and my hands were shaking. I flipped it over to turn the little end while the long end stayed in the screw, but that just made my fingers hurt.
Designed well
