Once put together the sofa looks and feels solid. Quite heavy actually. The seating area is very firm, a bit short perhaps, if anything. This is not a comfy sofa to spends hours on it, but more like a resting area to have guests sit in and enjoy a nice conversation over tea or coffee. It is very decorative. I love the retro look and the sleek simple lines.Putting it together was moderately easy. I sprayed the fabric with a waterproof protector right away before assembling.
