So I didnt buy mine here on , I bought it directly from , it was a debate between 5 back through or a 15 off coupon from them directly and I probably made the wrong choice, but it is what it is.
So I had been toying with the idea of commuting to work on an Electric Scooter or eBike and at this price point it seemed like the speed and range was much in favor of the eBike. Shopped around a number of eBikes and realistically it seemed like I would have to spend 1299 to get similar features that are included on this bike.
Cons / It is heavy, every bit of 65lbs. The steering rack is hard to align, as you have to have the stem folded down, which is at an angle, to access the bolt that secures it. That was the toughest part of assembly, everything else was very straight forward. No bottle rack, not even so much that it doesnt come with one, but no real evident spot to mount one. With the range that it has, youd think they might have put one or at least the mounting screws, but no biggie really.
Outside of those items there isnt much to complain about. Just a PSA, mine was set to pedal assist level 3 when I turned it on and got on it for the first time and level 3 packs a punch, such that I almost crashed. If you are just getting on it I would dial that back to level 1 or 2 to just get your bearings. Lights work well, seat and stem adjustments are pretty easy and straight forward.
I wanted to test out the battery capacity, so I took it for a quick ride. I am 63 and 225lbs this little beast was cruising at 21.6 mph, my guess was a slight tail wind, as I was just under 21 mph on my return trip, but I put 6 miles on, just shy of half of my commute and the battery hadnt dropped. This was with pretty minimal pedaling, as I rode 22 miles in the AM and dont plan on pedaling a lot on my way in to work. Shifter is crisp, brakes probably need a little adjusting, but did stop when necessary. I had ordered some panniers here on and they fit great, I get a little foot contact if I am goofing around and pedal backwards, but otherwise they will be great for the bike lock I got here and the tubes/tire that I ordered last night and anything else I might need to bring along.
I have a solid full suspension MTB and a decent Road Bike, so there wasnt a reason to spring for a high end eBike to just cruise to work on. If you are looking for a comfortable and capable eBike with a great range and solid top speed, look no further.
Pretty cool eBike at a reasonable price
