    Keeps both ferrets in!

We use this gate cage instead of the store bought ferret cage at all times so they have room to roam free. May buy one more to connect to this one,(they do connect easily)but ones way bigger than any cage and plenty of room. They run and play often. Bars are such that they cant climb out and they do try. The cage style water bottle works fine with it. I added one of the high back corner potties which i zip tied to the side, not for poop but food, they poop where they please. Now they no longer make a huge mess of their food. All this sits atop an 8 by 10 foot tarp. I bought 2 tarps. They poop against the fence like most ferrets. I toilet brush the feces off the bottom, then i lift slightly one side at a time and move it over, off and away from feces covered tarp. I leave them in while i do this but a carrier would be better because they do sometime use the basement floor as a potty while im doing this. I drag tarp with waste out back door, hose off, hang to dry, grab the last one thats now dry from the last time i cleaned, lay it down and drag the cage back over it. The abilityof this cage to fold allows u to make it small b4 lifting se eral sections at once and the ferets dont get hurt even tho they are still in it. It now takes 5 or 10 minutes instead of an hour. With the hose i dont get dirty. I love this cage. U can buy a rubber botom but after looking at it i think the tarp is easier and i read they get chewed thru plus i dont need feces overspray from the hose hitting the lip and shooting it straight up into my face or covering my head. plus id need 2 and a small carrier every time, but the tarp was only 6 bucks. Its taken 6 weeks but i finally got this down to a fine art, its quick amd easy and they are happy as can be!
