    Best bed frame ever!

We have tried several foundations and platform beds over the years, but this is, by far, the best! When the seller said that this frame was silent, it was no joke. It has not squeaked AT ALL since we first set it up. The plastic covers on the legs have not scratched the wood floors, either. The frame was fairly easy to assemble. You lay it out, put it together and attach bolts with an Allen wrench. The legs had to be fastened with bolts and nuts. It was easy to figure out, since the parts were labeled and it came with pictorial instructions. It did hurt my hand a bit to tighten the screws with. There are slots at the ends that allow you to attach a head and/or foot board, but we havent found one yet. The slats were about six inches apart. If you put a thin foundation on top, thats okay. However, the person using the bed has stubby legs, so it was too far for her to climb up on both a mattress and foundation. It would be better if the slats were 2-4 inches apart, so we could put our mattress directly on top. We didnt have board, so we made do with the cardboard from the box our new mattress came in. The bed is a full foot off the floor, which means my wife can hide storage containers and boxes under it out of sight. Since the room where the bed lives now doesnt have as much closet, cabinet, dresser or shelf space as wed like, this helps keep the space looking a little neater. At a little over $100 at the time of this writing, the frame costs more than we would normally pay. But the fact that it is well made, has storage space underneath and does not squeak or creak one bit makes it worth that price.
