One piece of info I was looking for is, from the FLOOR to the underside of the bed is 28, in case you were interested in putting a dresser underneath it. If that doesnt work for you, there are very cheap risers on that can help boost it up those last 1-4 inches needed to clear for underbed storage.
Also, Not installing the staircase does not seem to affect the sturdiness of the structure. Once install it is solid and does not creak or waver. Pleasantly surprised and delighted by this.
