I wanted the hardware to be stainless steel and they stated it was. They are not quite as sturdy as the poly chairs sold fro several hundreds but they will last for a very long time for my use. I will most likely store them inside or coverd during the long winter months. I feel they are a great price for a very nice product. Easy to put together too!
