This is definitely gaming desk. If youre looking at this thinking of doing homework it it, that could be a struggle. The majority of the surface area of the desk is covered by the riser, so you can set up dual gaming monitors on it. So you mostly have room for things like a keyboard, mouse and such. But not a lot of other workspace, because its not really a work desk.
We have this set up with two monitors connected to a tower PC, and then also have a second Alienware laptop on the desk as well. Two computers for different types of gaming. For the laptop theres plenty of room on the desk for a cooling pad with fans underneath it. When the laptop isnt in use and the desktop is, the laptop can be tucked under the riser and then pull out the keyboard and mouse (Also tucked under the riser when not in use).
The desk took time to put together and needed at least two of us to do it without causing it to be overly frustrating. The LED lights look sharp. Definitely a great gaming desk, that arrived without damage.
