I really like that I can have a desk and bed on the same footprint which saves a ton of space. I like the compact design and the sturdy metal composition should last a long time. Although time consuming to put together, it could still probably follow your little one off to college. The desk portion is fairly slim but you could use it with a laptop and a few framed photos, houseplants or books.
At the time of this review the retail price was around 222 which is reasonable for the quality. Easy to assemble. Very sturdy.
