I am a 70 year old woman. I put it together in about 3.5 hours. My older sister did hold a piece for me now and then, I used the allenwrench that came with it but I didnt use the wrench, I used a pair of pliers to hold the nuts while I tightened the screws. It is VERY attractive, and I have some file boxes stored underneath. It is sturdy. I think it was well worth it. Well worth the purchase.
