I found the bed fairly easy to put together. Directions were simple and they gave clear instructions. I recommend reading through the directions once just to familiarize yourself with everything first.
The bed frame is very solid and attractive. My husband and I can sleep on the futon without worry. Together were about 350lbs.
The downside to this frame is that its difficult for one person to convert this to a bed. It may be the mattress we chose which is the DHP 8 inch mattress on which is about 40ish pounds.
I do not regret my purchase of this frame because it is nice and solid but if youre trying to use this everyday as a bed it may be too cumbersome for you unless you have a lighter mattress.
