Takes up less space. It is easy to assemble but in a couple pictures it took me a minute to figure out what direction the pieces should go so I accidentally put the footboard in the wrong direction and realized it after everything was together (picture included).
Paint in some areas is a little thin.
The bed came slightly damaged. I already had everything unpacked and didnt feel like packing it back up as that would have been a nightmare.
