I dont have put together know how. I didnt understand all the directions even though everything is marked with letters for identification. My son put it together very easily by following the directions. So I think the issue is me. I love this little bench. My kitty and I sit on it together. I put it under the kitchen window. I put onions, garlic, and ginger in one drawer and potatoes in another drawer. The middle drawer has sugars and flours in it. Since they are close to the floor they stay cooler and keep well. There is good air flow because the drawers are vented. I really like this attractive functional bench! I like this one.
