The quality of this bed is a lot sturdier than I originally anticipated. I was very shocked and quite pleased while putting this bed together, discovering how heavy the parts were. I know these 4 legged beds are better suited for carpet, but on tile, it doesnt wobble, bow, bend, or move when my 7 year old is climbing up or down.
I also like that he has to climb over the railing, vs there being an opening there because I was nervous hed fall off the bed while tossing and turning. We did have to buy a new mattress that was thinner than the one before because we have standard 8 ceilings and it was just too close to the ceiling. He has a lot more head space now, but definitely keep that in mind when purchasing. It looks fabulous.
