Overall we are very happy. There is no way that I as an adult would go on the top bunk but I feel that the base of the bed could handle it. Its the side rails and the ladder I would be a little worried about. The rail on the middle bunk between the slide and the ladder is not sturdy. We are just waiting for it to break. It only goes over 1 edge and of course the kids use it as a hand rail to finish getting up to that level. It is very wobbly and Im sure will break soon.
