The assembly was not too difficult. Depending on your experience and strength you might need two people. Getting the back bolts in was the most difficult due to the cushioning making alignment difficult. The chair and stool are sturdy and seem to be easy to swivel etc. My wife uses it s a reading chair. it looks very nice.
