The bed itself is very strong. I bought 3 of these for my kids. All were very easy to assemble; no malformed threads or variations in dimensions, etc.). Each bed contains a few extra bolts labeled spare parts and each contains a ratchet wrench to run the bolts down and a matching hex (allen) wrench for final tightening . Assembly took one afternoon with the kids helping. Comes packaged in two boxes, one inside the other providing good protection in transit.
