My four year old absolutely loves this bed and it made his small room feel so much bigger since were now able to store his toys underneath his bed. We used a 10 inch pillow top mattress from Jenna that we ordered on , which I was afraid would be too thick, but it leaves about 2 inches of railing and seems to be safe for his age. So far it is very sturdy and looks like a very nice addition to his room. He can put magnets on the side of the bed frame which is also pretty cool. Absolutely recommend! I was very excited to receive!
