Make sure to align the screws to the holes . time will tell!
We just assembled this chair /best with two sets of hands. I started this by myself yesterday and set it aside until I had help. Once help arrived, assembly went more smoothly. Make sure that predrilled holes match up, that the larger pieces are facing the way they should go, ie. the inner surface of the chair where the cushions will rest. Once all holes were aligned, the assembly went smoothly. My husband and I are 68 yrs old and not as nimble as we use to be; just us. We did substitute use of a power driver for two of the actual screws that had to go into an area without predrilled holes (may have just been our chair). The chair passed the comfort test as we both had to sit in it. Its in the guest room (large room above the garage) and will be used soon by a son who will be studying for a test. Now he has choices where he can sit! I would buy this chair again but the best test will be our son using it and time; time will tell. Great choice for reasonable price
