Had I realized how much assembly was required for this item, I would have thought twice. It looks really pretty, and seems like it will be sturdy, but every single part needs to be assembled, even the x/braces.
Thats a pretty hefty bag of parts.sigh.
Additionally, the instructions show a printed ruler (in mm) to measure the screws to ensure you have the right screws for each step. Really. They couldnt be segregated by size/length, and marked with some type of alphanumeric label.
Im hoping that once I start assembling I find myself pleasantly surprised, rather than the overwhelmingly daunted Im currently feeling. It looks great on the box label. Heres hoping I can do it justice!
UPDATE: so.I finally tackled assembly. Luckily, the bag of parts was labeled (alphanumeric), so I didnt have to measure anything. But.I spent HOURS getting one stupid cam lock to behave. And as a single human, trying to balance the leg, insert the bolt, mate it with the female end of the lock.well.I wish I had clones. It was difficult to the point of me fantasizing about starting a bonfire. But on the billionth try, I got that 4th cam lock set, and was able to finish assembly. A twp/hour project took nearly 7 hours. And that was even using pillows as bracers.
So, if youre alone and thinking of getting this, realize that assembly might be a serious challenge. But if I can do it, you can, too. Very good value for high quality.
