Ive seen some reviews where people say Fifteen minutes to assemble. Try fifteen hours! (Paraphrasing of course) This couch has a total of 9 pieces (if you count the screw on feet as four of the pieces) and has instructions that I believe had 6 steps. Im recovering from pneumonia and I assembled two of these in under 30 minutes by myself.
I gave it 4 stars for comfort because Im 58 and I cant quite stretch out on it AND when seated upright, the arms are about 2 inches too low so if I want to rest my forearm on it I feel like I have to lean a bit. On the other hand, it opened up a ton of space in my tiny living room.
One thing that Im concerned could be a problem down the line is that there are two seat cushions that are not removeable. While technically being two cushions, theyre sewn together in the middle. This is going to be a stress point when two people are sitting on this couch at the same time (incidentally, this couch is comfortable for 3 skinny people or 2 larger people.) I can see that stitching pulling loose over time. Im glad I got the 5 year furniture protection plan.
