As close to a papasan style chair in compact, lightweight version
I got this as a desk chair. I was surprised to see how well it worked sitting up straight, crossing legs up or slouched. The fabric is not velvet but mine is light blue and a micro suede feeling textile. Soft. Nice. This is as close to a papasan chair for comfort as it gets in a small package. I really love this chair and think that it ticked most of my boxes. It is puffy and soft and hammock like. The headrest is a little short and I am a short person. But if you slouch down some it works great. I just dozed off in said chair a few minutes ago!
I think honestly this is a good lightweight and portable chair but it seems like of expensive for what it is. My two genuine antique Victorian chairs both cost less than this chair combined and they are the most comfortable chairs. So this chair had stiff competition in my house but I could not stop sitting in this rather square papasan style chair. It really is nice but not like a lazy boy recliner since it does not recline or let you sink in much. You have to experience this chair in real life. It is unexpectedly comfortable and grows on you. My kid loves it as well. He can move it by himself.
