Cost wise these are on the lower end but have the quality of mid-range stools. The base is bigger than I visualized (and oh so shinythank you. so they are pretty sturdy. Seats have more cushion than expected and while I read quite a few reviews I did not believe the easy of assembly comments. As a life-long assembly evader, literally the longest part was getting them out of the box and wrapping off. Good deal!
