Remember to remove the black cap prior to assembly
Beautiful so far. I was the dummy who forgot to remove the black cap prior to assembly and it got stuck to the rod that it is supposed to protect. One of the reviewers suggested using a screwdriver and hammer to remove it— it worked like a charm. I wedged the screwdriver between the black cap and base (not literally between but more like set the screwdriver on the ledge of the black cap) and GENTLY hammered the handle end of the screwdriver and it capoff in like 4-5 taps. The chair adjusts up and down beautifully. The faux leather is very nice looking and it is perfect for my kitchen island where I have my desktop set up! The only gripe I have about the chir is that the blck plastic on the base (see photo) is peeling. For the price, it is perfect. Will def recommend. I will need more time to assess the durability but no wiggling or wobbling so far
