I bought these chairs for a counter height table that we have. I wanted something with more cushion and that was height adjustable. These fit the bill. A couple of things to note: (1) they seem a bit short to me in the length (when I sit on them I feel that I need the seat part to be a bit longer to fully support my thighs). The kids have no problems and if I prop my feet up its better - but they could use another inch or two in the seat length. (2) The stools are adjustable but you have to sit on them to make them go down. Its easy to get them up to their top height without actually sitting on them, but then you have to climb on them to get them to lower down.
Overall they work, but if I had tried them out in the store I might have looked around a bit more before purchasing.
