I'm pleased with this purchase. I bought it for a finished basement room which, in addition to a TV stand, needed a bit more heat and some ambiance. My project partner wanted me to mention what good quality control the product had. It came extremely well packed and the pictured directions were decipherable. It took two people a good three hours to put together, but we took our time to get it right. The fire place is realistic enough to truly enjoy, and fits the bill as far as what I needed. You can also just have the fire effect without the heat. No remote control. I can see enjoying this piece for a good while.
