This is a really beautiful piece of furniture. It doesn't look or feel like particle board at all. It's clean looking, heavy weight and, for the most part, very well made.
There is an area on ours, below where the electronic devices go, where the front wood pieces would not line up with the pieces on each side of it. I took it apart and tried again twice (thinking it must have been an error on my part), before I realized it was, in fact, because the wood board was actually not cut long enough. As a result, there is a small gap on each side. I thought at first that maybe it was supposed to look like that. But on closer inspection, I don't think this is an intentional gap because they are different sizes on each side, lol.
I'm still giving it five stars because it's not super noticeable. And at the end of the day, we did not pay for a solid wood item. We got a fantastic deal on this by keeping an eye on the price changes and purchasing at just the right time.
This was very easy for me to build by myself. I was worried about that because the instructions say two people should put it together. And the box was rather intimidating. But I managed it alone without any issues and in decent time.
We are very happy with it. It looks great and works perfectly.
