The directions are NOT accurate. Make double sure your holes line up accordingly for the ladder before assembly. If you line up by the sticker the way it says in BOLD you will need to take it apart and do it again. Also, on the futon frame the left side was to insert into the right. The alignment is not correct to do so. I had to hammer that mother to get it to fit into where it was supposed to glide in. Lube wouldnt do the trick. The pole wouldnt go into its hole. (at least thats what she said anyway If you can keep the children away and dont mind a few f bombs during assembly, the finished product is pretty sturdy. The ladder rungs hurt the feet. Will need to try the pool noodle suggestion to remedy that.
