I bought this to rest my feet on while working at my desk. It does the job, with a couple of caveats:
(1) It reeked of chemicals when it first arrived. I set it outside for a while to air out, which solved the problem. If you live somewhere with inadequate ventilation or no accessible outdoor space, I could see this being a problem.
(2) After several months of use, I've noticed that my feet sometimes start to hurt after being propped up on the stool for a while. The upper cushion, where I place my feet, is not as thick as it seemed to be in the photos; it's maybe an inch thick or less. There's a hard material underneath, hence the pain.
That being said, I wasn't expecting anything luxurious -- just a footstool to rest my feet on -- and it does that pretty well. It's also extremely easy to assemble, and the manufacturer encloses a couple spare parts, which is nice of them.
Decent footstool
