I needed to replace a worn-out recliner with something comfy but smaller and more streamlined. Matching the comfort of a recliner is almost impossible, so I was prepared to sacrifice a little comfort when I bought this chair. WRONG! The minute I sat in this baby, I was amazed at how easily I could have drifted off to sleep right then and there if I had allowed myself to. I personally prefer to sit up a little straighter than this chair is designed for; it was made with an eye for people who like to lean back a little. But putting a little throw pillow behind my back (and I keep a decorative pillow in the chair anyway for looks) makes it perfect for me. And the back is tall enough that I can put a little bolster pillow behind my neck if I need one. LOVE the height of the seat - as I get older, getting up and down from low-sitting furniture is a pain. This is a breeze to get in and out of. And the style is great - siimple, clean lines, doesnt call a lot of attention to itself, so its very versatile. Whoever said this chair was hard as a rock and tiny and claustrophobic must have been delivered the wrong chair. Seriously. Im 5/2 and 250 lbs, so you can imagine how wide I am, and this chair doesnt crowd me at all, its perfect. Im am ordering 2 more - one to replace the 2nd recliner in the family room, and one for my bedroom.
