This file cabinet stikes me as slighly above grade but not by much. The vinyl veneer is very thin and the cabinet is made of low grade, low density chip board which is not very strong. Each drawer is held to the sides with 4 small screws, not near enough in my opinion of what could easily be heavy files. I had to dremel out one of the access holes in each slide to screw the slide bracket to the cabinet, no way it would work the way it came. The plastic guides that the files slide on are simply made to sit on top of the drawer edges, no way that will work well. So I screwed them down and that is far sturdier. The drawers still wobble when you pull them out. The metal cabinet wood nuts that hold the file cabinet together are thin and soft, be very careful not to put much pressure on them or they will deform quickly. Even the cheapest Scandinavian furniture had much better parts then this. Overall, this is obviously a situation of using the lowest price of everything and long term life is very questionable if used much. I can already see the need to add reinforcing screws in the not too distant future. It looks nice and does work, just dont expect much and you will be fine. For the money it was an ok deal, hence the 3 stars.
