Was able to assemble the bed by myself but took some studying the diagrams. Might be heavy for some users but that is what I wanted. It is solid and does not twist or move when people move around in the top bed. One of the wooden faceplates on the end of the bed was cracked when I got it and I thought of notifying the seller for a replacement but was able to straighten it so it was hardly noticeable unless it is pointed out, it was not worth the hassle replace it. I am very happy with the bed after many months of use
