Very easy to assemble and exactly what I was looking for! Color is a nice dark brown. Wood is real and sturdy. Metal bar on foot rest is nice addition to keep wood from getting torn up. Holds up nicely even with occasional littles on them. Only thing Id say, be careful when assembling as to not push the screw caps in too far as I have one that is deeper inset that needed. Not a big deal though, just good to know.
