This unit has almost zero ventilation in the side shelves. Receivers, DVD players etc. get very hot when kept on these shelves and door closed. Game consoles like PS4, Xbox - no way. It gets extremely hot inside the shelves with game consoles.
If you are looking for a good TV stand with space to keep other electronics then do not waste money with this product. I had to cut holes in the back panel for air flow to keep AV receiver at manageable temperature. Moved PS4 out of side shelf.
