Although the outer box was a bit battered, the packing material protected the box contents. Everything was untouched inside the box. All the parts were included, and there was even an additional parts bag, just in case. My assembly was probably slowed down because my 6 year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter were helping me with the assembly. I did use my power drill with a Philips screwdriver bit despite the instructions saying not to. I found it useful for the hinge screws. Everything else was fine with a screwdriver. The instruction illustrations were great, with descriptions in 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, and German). All the parts were well labeled and there were illustrations of all the parts in the beginning of the instructions. The resulting product seems sturdy enough. I may need to drill another hole in the back for wires from the lower shelf, but the back material is very thin, so that should be easy enough.
