The only real problem is that the slats will pop out of the groove for them if you sit at the foot of the bed- I bought a sheet of plywood to put over the slats (didnt have to glue or nail it- just get one that is as long as the mattress) and that fixed the problem. Id also reccomend gluing the bottom of the drawers to the sides if you plan on putting things heavier than cloths in it. Ive had it over a year now and its holding up well- including dissembling to move once. Its fiberboard so breaking pieces in the move can happen (had to repair it a little after I was careless) but thats to be expected for the cost. Left in place it hasnt suffered any damage and its been subjected to a decent amount of weight and use.
Add a plywood sheet and it works well.
