We bought this because our old TV stand didnt have any doors or anything and our 9 month old loved to grab all the movie cases and just throw them on the floor lol. So far, he isnt interested in trying to open the doors, he just likes to use this to help him stand up. But for the price, this stand is awesome! Its super cute and I think its sturdy enough. My boyfriend and I put this together in about three hours. We probably could have done it faster, but we werent in the biggest rush. It was fairly simple to put together and the directions were pretty clear. I usually leave this kind of project to my man, but I was so excited to put it together that I did the first few steps by myself while he was at work still and Im pretty confident I probably could have finished it on my own if needed. We bought the grey version and I think it looks great!
Update Its been about a year and I still love this. We got cabinet locks to keep our toddler from grabbing stuff out of it once he was interested in it, and its held up to some pretty serious pulling, slamming, and tugging. And a year later, only has one small scuff. This thing is holding up fabulously! Always really easy to clean, we even bought the matching coffee table last week. Very impressed with this set!
