My wife ordered this mirror for our renovated bathrooms. I didnt fully read the reviews but assumed a mirror was a mirror (Ive installed mirrors and used to be a rigger for films and tv shows so hanging things is nothing new). The 22x30 mirror is HEAVY. I was going to grab anchors and install that way until I read the sign on the back of the mirror advising me to use the 50 lb hangars. Okay, sounds good- Ive used properly rated hangars in drywall before (Ook brand) with no issues. The nail in the hangars slid in and out of the drywall, as expected- as my wife told me to follow the directions. I couldnt get the hangers to hang properly and the hammering damaged the wall so now I hope to use Ook hangers Bc im not sure if the wall damage will affect where Ill have to mount an anchor. I dont have much wiggle room at all. Failure on the company to supply picture hangers with the proper nails for drywall. Big fail and now Im repairing a wall in a brand new bathroom and have to run to Home Depot to grab proper hangers. Not sure an established company (I wanted their product than one of the random companies) theyd include this note. Ridiculous. While heavy might be a positive attribute in a mirror, ive honestly never seen a mirror of this weight- not too excited to hang this beast. Might return due to pain in the butt factor.
