DURABILITY: 4/5
COMFORT: 3.5/5
DESIGN: 4/5
OVERALL: 3.5-4/5 I think this deserves a 3.5/5, but given the options I chose 4.
2.5 year update!
DURABILITY: The stitching and fabric seem fine so far. The legs are the weakest point in my opinion: especially the flip down legs in back for the bed part. Weve had this a few months so far an no issues yet, but were lightweights (<140lbs), so mileage may vary. EDIT (2.5 years later The springs were actually the thing that started wearing out. The springs started sagging where I always sit. The rest of the couch (fabric, legs, frame, etc.) held up fine.
COMFORT: Again, weight comes into play here as I dont think it would be as comfortable for someone heavier. With that said, my gf and I dont have much of an issue with discomfort. It is our main seating in the apt, and we enjoy the firmer design. EDIT (2.5 years later The sagging springs reduced comfort. Also, we realized the middle of the couch is not very comfortable to sit on because there is almost no padding/spring support there.
DESIGN: As I mentioned above, some sturdier supports would be nice. To be clear, this hasnt been a problem yet since the futon is mostly used as a couch. Looks are nice and simple, which I like. EDIT (2.5 years later Friends have slept on the couch multiple times with no issues from the supports.
Would buy again.
