First up, just like most others, I was a little (ha) paranoid about buying furniture online. Especially this cheap. This was insultingly easy to put together, its even designed to ship and fold in half if you ever need to move or store it. Theres even a pouch for the legs! Unfortunately that same convenience adds an almost negligible difficulty at the very last step of assembly. If you are doing this by yourself, its easy until the very last step. That last step will test your patience, logical reasoning, and floor. At the last step you have to flip it or lay it down from its side after screwing in the legs. At this point, if youre not careful, every capable range of motion this futon has comes into play which in my case scared the bejeebus out of my pup. You might think the middle legs will keep it from folding in half, prepare to be wrong. thankfully the legs were alright after my ordeal. You can do it pretty easy, just a word of warning. Two people would have made a world of difference.
Actual use: when they say firm, oh boy do they mean it. Its cheap, its firm, and Im in love. My dog even loves it! Seriously considering the add-on Emily item right now. It really is easy to convert, but it plays against you during setup only I think. Pretty solid so far.
All in all, not everyone can afford $2,000 wraparound couches made of clouds and Italian leather, much less need. I got a futon I love, an emergency/guest bed, all for less than $200 gorram dollars and not even 20 minutes of my time!
Couldnt be happier!
