A Peek: So Far, I LOVE IT. Update: Still Loving It!
UPDATE: Part 2: This sofa is a lovely lovely find and great quality. Mind you, i live alone and dont spend too much time on it. I have pets so its covered to protect it. But everyone that sees it and sits in it comments on how great it feel and how gorgeous it looks. So yes, the green velveteen is so nice to the touch. I want a pant suit out of this fabric!
Part 1: This is just a preliminary review of this gorgeous green velveteen sofa I bought, sight unseen. I will update this as soon as I inspect the frame and everything else.
First: The company has a good reputation, so I was reassured. I also read the positive reviews which greatly outweighed the negative. Most of the reviews were for the faux leather one anyway.
So the color. First, its pretty close to what you see on screen. Its a gorgeous Hunter Green, less forest, which is fine with me. It really is a perfect muted shade. The fabric is great quality velveteen, and the craftsmanship of the seams is very well done.
The size is a perfect for a medium to small living room. Its deep and comfortable. We will see how the seat cushions hold up. I might change the legs to a taller version of the same mid century kind. I have an Etsy connection. The 4.75 inch height feel a bit too low for me. I would go to a 6 inch. But I will live with it for a couple of weeks before I make the additional $35 purchase for new legs.
Overall, what a find!! I am swooning over this sofa. Plus it allowed me to break up the payments into 5. Score! No credit app or anything. They didnt offer this for other sofas, so they definitely know what Ive been wanting, as the ad popped up on my Instagram feed.
I will be back with an update after the new year once its been in place, and gone through a tv show binge over the holiday break. BRB!
