Wow!! This was a great buy!! It took a few hours to put together, but so far it seems very sturdy. I put a six inch matress on it, which doesnt really leave a lot of space between the top of the mattress and the safty rail, but its still sufficient. It turned out a little taller than I anticipated, but its the perfect hight to stand and read a bedtime story before tucking him in. (Im just under 54
After it was all put together, my kid announced that he had plans for the bed. He proceeded to drag his old toddler mattress under there, and hung up a blanket to make it like a fort.
