When you first open the box you will pull out what just appears to be the headboard! I was actually pretty impressed with the fact that you unzip the back of the headboard and inside youll find all the rest of the bed components. Talk about flat pack engineering! You will want to be extra cautious when pulling the headboard out of the box to not rip the fabric that lines the back.
This bed goes together quickly with the supplied allen wrench. The two runners down the sides are in two separate sections which you attach with a bracket. Overall I feel like these will hold for casual use but if this bed was a daily sleeper, Id worry over time Id eventually bend these out of shape.
I especially liked the ease of putting the wood s in place. They are all attached together with velcro and you simply lay them out and stick them down the strip of velcro that runs along the side rails. Its easiest to start at one end and stretch them out and stick them down as you go.
The fabric on this bed seems to be decent quality although, having been used as the box for the rest of the bed components, the bulk of the headboard is completely hollow. One other point, you will need 9 risers if you plan to raise this bed even further.
This works fine as a guest bedroom sleeper and looks nice, but overall the construction is comparable to an purchase.
Budget Constructions, Looks Nice.
