We bought this bed for our teenage boy. We have had it for over a year and he is not gentle with it. He has had multiple people on it, Jumps ont it and treats it like a kid. The only thing we added was some OSB under the mattress, because he kept losing( toys, remotes, coins, pens, etc.) through the slates. We actually just took it apart and put it back together in another room. Still looks great and he loves it. It is pressboard so you cant over tighten the screws. Do not use power tools. Most of the other problems are not the bed itself but people putting it together wrong.
