Smooth glide swivel. Fits well in our nursery. Baby hasnt arrived yet, but the only thing we regret not considering is that the back isnt tall enough to rest your head of neck while rocking. Also made us want a rocking ottoman which Im not sure is available in the same color. Overall great chair, very soft comfy. Came in a large box already assembled covered in plastic.
